Seagreens Iodine+

Iodine is one of the most important minerals for health - not least for hormone production and regulation, particularly in the thyroid gland which regulates many bodily functions.

Each Iodine+ Capsule contains 100% whole Seagreens® wild Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed, providing typically 350 micrograms of natural iodine in a single capsule. The jar lasts for 2 months at one capsule per day.

These capsules slide open so that the content can also be taken in a juice or smoothie. Seagreens® products contain no additives whatsoever and all capsules are 'Trufilled' which means that they always deliver the stated amounts per capsule.

Independent research at Glasgow University in Scotland, compared Seagreens® wild Ascophyllum to a commonly used source of iodine - potassium iodide.

The study found that although both forms are bioavailable, the potassium iodide peaks and is quickly excreted from the body, whereas the Seagreens iodine is more gradually absorbed - with no adverse effects on thyroid function. 

Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) was normalised across the study group of 50 iodine-insufficient women, whose average age was 25.
