Pharma Nord Bio-Ubiquinol Active QH 100mg

Coenzyme Q10 in reduced form - ubiquinol 100 mg.

  • Contains the reduced form of Q10 known by the name of ubiquinol
  • Documented bioavailability and quality
  • Developed by a special production method and encapsulated in propietary softgels that protect ubiquinol from light and oxidation
  • Manufactured under pharmaceutical standards and inspected by "the Danish Food and Drug Administration"

BioActive Uniqinol is light protected, soft gelatin capsules containing the reduced form of coenzyme Q10 (QH), ubiquinol in coconut oil. Each capsule contains 100 mg of ubiquinol and 12 mg of ascorbic acid.

Dietary supplements with ubiquinol have one drawback, ubiquinol oxidizes once it is exposed to oxygen and thereby returns to its original form, ubiquinone. By means of a special manufacturing process, however, Pharma Nord has succeeded in encapsulating the raw material in a way that allows it to remain in its reduced form.

Our patent-pending softgel capsules protect BioActive Ubiquinol from light and oxidation to deliver the compound in its intended form inside your body.

Bio-Ubiquinol is a strong antioxidant and helps support the body with replenishing low levels of QH.

Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring, vitamin-like substance that plays a key role in the body’s energy supply process.

Every cell within the body requires a constant supply of energy to survive and function - without this constant energy supply the cells die.

Most people are able to absorb supplemental coenzyme Q10 in the oxidised ubiquinone form. However, certain categories of people may be less able to absorb this form of coenzyme Q10. These include the elderly, as well as people with liver disease, pancreatic disease, digestive disorders such as IBS, and following digestive tract surgery. For such categories of people, coenzyme Q10 is more easily absorbed in the reduced ubiquinol form, Pharma Nord BioActive Q10.

There is evidence that dietary coenzyme Q10 must be reduced to ubiquinol within intestinal enterocytes prior to release into the lymphatic system, and that this may represent a rate-limiting step for coenzyme Q10 assimilation. Dietary coenzyme Q10 supplements containing ubiquinol avoid the necessity for this coupled absorption/reduction step, which may explain their increased bioavailability. Comparison of corresponding dose/plasma levels from several studies indicates the bioavailability of ubiquinol to be several-fold greater than that for ubiquinone.
