Pharma Nord Bio-Methionine 500mg

Methionine is an essential amino acid, the basic building blocks from which proteins in the body are constructed. which can only be obtained through diet or Methionine supplements. Methionine can be found in meat, fish, milk and cheese, but is lost during food processing.

Methionine is available in two chemical forms, ‘L’ and ‘DL’. The ‘L’ form used in Bio-Methionine, is the most bio-available and therefore the most beneficial to the body.

 Methionine is essential for normal metabolism and growth. In addition to its role in protein formation, Methionine plays an important role in the formation of:

• Antioxidants, protecting the body against free radical damage.
• Chemical messengers responsible for normal brain function.
• Cartilage components in joints.
• Promotes healthy liver function, including the detoxification of toxic substances to which the body may have been exposed.
• Manufactured to pharmaceutical standards.
• Sugar, yeast and gluten free.
• Most bio-available form (absorbed).
• Essential amino acid.

Pharma Nord recommends 1 tablet to be taken daily or as directed by a physician.

Best taken at least one and a half hours before meals (first thing in the morning or at bedtime may be best).

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Recommended Daily Allowance

A daily intake (RDA) of 13mg/Kg/day, equivalent to approximately 900mg/day for a 70Kg adult (the RDA is higher for infants and children).
