Lamberts® Phenylalanine is the natural L-Phenylalanine and is presented in its free-form to help ensure optimal absorption. This product is made in the UK to pharmaceutical GMP standards.

Essential amino acids cannot be synthesised in the body and must be obtained from the diet, whereas non-essential amino acids, whilst still essential for health, can be synthesised in the body and are therefore not classified as 'essential'.

Phenylalaine is an essential amino acid and is the precursor for the amino acid tyrosine. Like tyrosine, it is the precursor for the neurotransmitters called catecholamines (adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine). As with all our amino acids, Lamberts L-Phenylalanine is presented in its free-form for maximum absorption. Each capsule provides a full 500mg of L-Phenylalanine.

Please Note: People with a condition known as phenylketonuria (PKU), in which phenylalanine cannot be broken down, should not take phenylalanine supplements. Nor should phenylalanine supplements be taken in conjunction with prescription anti-depressants, particularly monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors. 

1 capsule daily. It is preferable to take Amino Acids with fruit juice or water rather than milk. An Amino Acid is best taken ½ hour before any meal or at bedtime.

The following list of allergens are excluded: Wheat, Barley, Soya, Eggs, Milk (and milk products), Lactose, Nuts, Sulphites, Celery, Fish, Shellfish, Yeast and Gluten containing ingredients.

Cautions
L-PHENYLALANINE MUST NOT BE TAKEN BY PHENYLKETONURIA SUFFERERS (PKU). L-Phenylalanine should not be used with MAO inhibitors (a type of anti-depressant medicine).
This product is not recommended for children or pregnant or lactating women.
