Amphora Aromatics Ravensara Essential Oil

Ravensara essential oil has strong anti-viral properties which make it perhaps the most effective of essential oils against flu and other respiratory viruses.  Most potent when used as a steam inhalation - add a few drops to a bowl of warm water and inhale.

Despite it's strong anti-viral properties it's a comparitively gentle oil which can be safely used with children and the elderly. A must for the First aid cabinet.

When well diluted in a carrier oil it makes a good chest rub and massage treatment for those suffering from respiratory viruses. It can also have an uplifting and stimulating effect on body and mind and may be a soothing tonic for the nerves and muscular tension.

Useful during the winter if feeling a little under the weather a few drops in the bath with Tea Tree and lavender may help.

  • Use in Massage, baths and inhalations
  • Useful in stressful situations
  • Strongly anti-viral, stimulating and muscle-ease
  • An under-valued essential oil that can be very helpful in easing flu symptoms
  • Oil is extracted from its leaves by slow steam distillation
  • Blended with lavender and chamomile it can relieve the pain associated with shingles
  • Stimulating, reviving and restoring
  • Traditionally referred to as 'the oil that heals'
