Grapefruit Essential Oil is traditionally used as an astringent skin conditioner.

Traditionally used as an astringent skin conditioner. As with the majority of essential oils, dilute with a carrier oil or base cream when applying to the skin. Refreshes and uplifts the spirit. A lovely fresh smelling oil that can help as a pick me up for exhaustion.

Historical Background
Grapefruit is a relatively modern fruit, the hybridized offspring that resulted from an affair between a pumelo and an orange tree.

Properties
The volatile oil obtained by cold-pressing the outer peels of the fruits.
Citrusy. Tangy like grapefruit, but sweet. It is reminiscent to the aroma of the grapefruit rind, but more concentrated.
Uplifting, invigorating, refreshing, stimulating. Good for cellulite.

You may find that Grapefruit blends particularly well with bergamot, lavender, geranium, palmarosa and frankincense.

Dilute to 5% or less in a carrier oil before skin application.
