Historial Background
Widely used as a domestic spice. Aniseed tea is used for infant catarrh, also aides flatulence, colic and gripping pains. In Turkey the popular alcoholic drink, raki, is made from the seed. Traditionally used as deodorant. Native to Greece, Turkey & Egypt, now widely cultivated mainly in India and China and to a lesser extent in Mexico and Spain.
