Uses: Bloating, indigestion, leaky gut, food intolerances, flatulence. How it works: Bitters stimulate the tastebuds. Yarrow contains volatile oils and flavonoids. These have an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory action on the digestive system, easing colic and reducing flatulence. Additional advice: Do not use if you intend to sunbathe or use a sunbed as Yarrow can have a photosensitising action. In the use of bitter herbs, the bitter taste is essential to its therapeutic action.
